Employability
Reports
are
prepared
on
the
instruction
of
solicitors,
acting
either
for
pursuer/claimant
or
defender,
or
frequently, in the case of English instructions, prepared under joint instruction basis according to the Woolf guidelines.
Employability
Reports
identify
alternative
roles
that
an
injured
party
could
be
expected
to
undertake,
taking
into
consideration
expert
medical
opinion
regarding
functional
limitations,
along
side
the
claimant's
education,
work
history
and
transferable
skills.
Reports
are
primarily
based
on
a
semi-structured
interview
conducted
with
the
claimant,
usually
in
their
own
home
but
sometimes
if
requested
at
the
premises
of
their
solicitor,
and
in
the
presence
of
a
person
of
their
choosing if desired.
Employability
Reports
provide
an
indication
of
future
earning
potential
following
injury,
as
well
as
local
labour
market
information.
My
reports
can
also
contain
recommendations
for
vocational
rehabilitation
to
assist
the
injured
party
with
future employment if requested.
